Client: Airborne Airlines| Date: Jan 2023 - February 2023| Service: User Experience, UI Design
Overview:
Airborne Airlines is a new airline service in the market.
Research found that passengers didn’t always know what to expect during their flight and had to take extra precautions to ensure their experience was pleasant. Airborne Airlines will provide a full explanation of the inflight experience, including photos, videos, and a description of meal options.
Moodboard:
When trying to understand about the personas and reading through the project brief, along with focussing the pain points of the user, I also wanted to give the user a more peaceful and no stress while browsing across the website. Hence, I chose the colours blue, and white primarily which symbolize heaven and purity.
Also, blue and orange are in the middle of the warm and cold sides of the color wheel. So, I moved ahead by choosing the colours blue, white and orange.
Then I started to incorporate other icons which would be used for the project. I also put images which would have the same colours and then finalised the mood board.
Userflows:
I created the user-flows, for which, my inputs were project brief and the personas, and implemented a flow.
Component Library:
I started creating the component library.
To deliver the best user experience, I have taken a quick look on the existing user-tested airlines websites on what are the fonts they are using, and what are the layouts and components they are using. Some of the websites I looked at are: Singapore airlines, Qantas, malaysian airlines.
High-fidelity wireframes:
I quickly moved on to creating the high-fidelity wireframes, in which I have started to gather images from websites like unsplash. I also enjoyed selecting the images which match the colours in the wireframes being created. I also put user`s pain points always as a priority while designing the wireframes.
User-testing:
I enjoyed talking to the users, and getting their feedback on the prototype. I started with the preparation of a user test script. Below is the feedback which I have received in the first version of the prototype:
(1) The colours are looking professional
(2) I would like to see what happens after the 'Manage Booking' flow
Hence, I chose to continue the manage booking flow I created the second version of the high fidelity wireframes.
